A specially designed audit program has been developed for Radiation Oncology Departments with High Dose Rate (HDR) or Low Dose Rate (LDR) therapy. The audit consists of a through review of radiation safety techniques, chart evaluations and equipment checks with the on site medical physicist.

The audits are quarterly with a detailed written report to follow. During each visit, out qualified medical physicists will review the appropriate number of charts in brachytherapy, radionuclide therapy, HDR and LDR therapy. Each chart will be checked for items of compliance as outlined in the Department Quality Management Program.
